🇬🇧(English)

In 2026, the greatest threat to AI adoption isn't a lack of data—it's a lack of trust. While global regulations struggle to keep pace with generative shifts, a new breed of Japanese startups is building the infrastructure necessary to keep the world secure.

Join Antler Japan and its startups tackling this topic from FinTech/Robotics/Web3 field for an evening of high-stakes insights. We’re moving beyond theory to look at the raw data: what does it actually take to build AI infrastructure that the world can actually trust — and do it from Tokyo?

SESSION 1

Building the Shield: Scaling Global Security from Japan

Direct observations from the front lines. How Juan identified specific vulnerabilities in the global market and why Japan is a strategic "hard-shell" base for security innovation.

SESSION 2

When the Robot Misbehaves: Securing Physical AI from the Ground Up

The security risks of physical AI go beyond cybersecurity — a non-compliant robot isn't just a legal liability, it's a safety hazard. Alejo brings frontline observations from the EU's compliance reckoning, and what it signals for Japanese robotics companies building for global markets.

Speakers

Juan Markus

RubiLabs | Co-Founder

Juan is the Co-founder of RubiLabs, where he is pioneering Lapis, a programmable compliance infrastructure designed for the next generation of financial institutions. As global regulators impose stricter oversight, Juan focuses on helping banks, fintechs, and money service businesses navigate increasing compliance burdens without disrupting daily operations.

Under his leadership, RubiLabs is shifting the industry from siloed, rule-only monitoring to AI and network-driven risk detection. By combining programmable rules with advanced analytics, Lapis uncovers hidden patterns across transactions and provides audit-ready evidence for AML/CFT and investigations teams. Backed by Antler, Juan is dedicated to improving operational efficiency and risk accuracy for regulated institutions in an increasingly real-time digital economy.

Alejo Cain

Snappy Compliance | Founder & CEO

Alejo is the Founder and CEO of Snappy Compliance, an AI-powered platform that automates regulatory compliance for robotics teams. With a background spanning computer vision, big data engineering, and robotics software—built across roles at Capgemini, Nike, and the World Food Programme—Alejo brings rare technical range to a problem that has long been left to lawyers and spreadsheets.

As the EU's AI Act and updated Machinery Regulation raise the compliance bar for physical AI, Alejo is building the infrastructure that lets hardware teams certify faster, document automatically, and stay compliant through every OTA update—without grinding their release cycles to a halt. Backed by Antler, Snappy Compliance turns what was once a months-long manual burden into a continuous, automated workflow. Alejo's focus is clear: compliance shouldn't slow down the builders who are shaping the physical world.
