Crochet & Cabernet: A Consciously Chic Beginner’s Crochet workshop
Join us for a cozy, creative evening of crafting, sustainability, and community during San Diego Climate Week.
In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of crochet while sipping wine and connecting with fellow makers. Guided by Janae Keller, fashion stylist and event producer, you’ll explore the basics of crochet techniques and discover how timeless handcraft can be both stylish and sustainable.
✨What you’ll learn & create:
Crochet 101: Basic stitches, patterns, and techniques to get you started.
DIY Upcycled Yarn: Transform fabric into your very own ball of yarn.
Your First Project: Make a coaster-sized crochet square—perfect for practicing and showing off your new skills!
Beyond the Square: With these fundamentals, you’ll be ready to create scarves, placemats, pillow covers, tote bags, and other simple rectangular or square projects.
🍷 Sip & Stitch: We’re partnering with Mvinyo Book Bar, a local tasting room, bringing carefully selected wines to complement your evening of making. We will also have complimentary plant-forward snack options for you.
Whether you’re looking to pick up a new hobby, embrace more sustainable practices, or simply enjoy a fun night out, this workshop offers the perfect mix of creativity and connection.
