AI x Open Media Forum presented by Livepeer, co-curated with Refraction
Media is shifting. That’s why Livepeer and Refraction are hosting the AI x Open Media Forum to build the media we deserve: open, censorship-resistant and made limitlessly creative.
This future is within reach, but the window for making it a reality is closing fast. We’ll be asking the most fundamental questions and tackling some of the biggest challenges we face:
- Is there a place for human-made media in a world of AI?
- Has the creative act been automated or displaced?
- How can we seize the critical opportunities of the next 3-6 months with protocols, tokens, AI and decentralized video infrastructure?
Who AI x Open Media Forum is for:
- Artists
- Creatives
- Developers
- Founders
- Researchers
What you’ll do
This isn’t an event for people who want to sit and listen to panels.
Participants will work together to explore tools and protocols, contribute their own learnings, and share ideas that will help strengthen open media.
We’ll work together in tight groups, present our findings back to the group and publish them after the event.
Programme
2:00PM - ARRIVAL
2:15PM - OPENING REMARKS

3:00-4:00PM - CREATE ROUNDTABLES
New Wave Creativity
What happens when creative work is shaped by intent rather than algorithms? With new AI tools enabling real-time creation, the group will consider how fresh voices, new styles, and independent scenes emerge when artists build their own spaces.
Architecture of the Media Frontier
What needs to exist for creativity to grow without gatekeepers? This discussion is to map out the technical trailheads for open media and video infrastructure that will enable limitless New Wave Creativity and generate value at protocol and creator level.
4:00-5:00PM - RELEASE ROUNDTABLES
Sovereign Media
How does creative work find its audience when no single platform is in control? The group will look at how open social is enabling portable reputation, direct support, and shared incentives to create fairer and more flexible ways for artists and communities to connect and earn together.
Authenticity in the AI Age
How can authorship and creative identity be protected when AI can imitate anything? The aim is to define systems that keep open media traceable to its source, safeguarding IP and provenance, and help human expression stand out in a landscape flooded with automated content.
5:15PM - LIGHTNING TALKS
Presentations of tools, artworks, protocols, launches, or ideas sparked by conversation.
6:00-7:00PM - HAPPY HOUR
8:00-12:00AM - Refraction Presents - the $IRL Launch Party
