Still Connected: Breakfast Club featuring a conversation with Bianca Edwards
Still Connected Breakfast Club is Girl Connected’s signature morning series designed to bring together professionals across music, media, and culture in a relaxed, community-driven setting.
Built around conversation and connection, each gathering offers a space to meet new people, exchange ideas, and start the day with intention — over coffee, light bites, and meaningful dialogue. Whether you’re heading into a full day of events or simply looking to connect with like-minded individuals, Breakfast Club is a place to tap in, build relationships, and stay connected.
This event will feature a conversation component with music executive Bianca Edwards, a previous masterclass speaker and Girl Connected mentor.
ABOUT BIANCA EDWARDS
Bianca Edwards operates with the instincts of a creative and the spirit of a born hustler. A Washington, D.C., native, she graduated from Belmont University’s Mike Curb College of Entertainment & Music Business before becoming a Congressional Black Caucus, Washington Post, FCBA, and Rotary International scholar. Her passion for learning and growing, along with her genuine sense of altruism, have guided her ever since, from early supporting roles at Hot 97 and BET to a legendary run as the talent booker at COMPLEX Networks and 7 years at Roc Nation.
Bianca has worked with giants from all corners of the industry, forming deeply personal connections with the artists she’s promoting. Working with The LOX ahead of their Living Off Xperience, Bianca insisted that she join Jadakiss, Styles P, and Sheek Louch for a day in Yonkers. She joined Ambré in the singer’s native New Orleans to promote her 3000° album. Buju Banton had signed to Roc Nation to release his first album in more than a decade just as Bianca was hired. “I was on a plane to Kingston even before I stepped foot in Roc Nation’s office,” she remembers. “I wanted to connect with Buju himself.”
Before Black Panther: Wakanda Forever hit theaters, Bianca spearheaded the campaign for Rihanna’s “Lift Me Up,” a Platinum-certified comeback single from the film’s soundtrack. In early 2024, three years after she promoted the soundtrack for Jeymes Samuels’ Netflix movie The Harder They Fall, she reunited with him to promote the accompanying album for The Book of Clarence, which includes performances from JAY-Z, Doja Cat, Jorja Smith, and others. Across the past five years, she’s worked with luminaries representing reggae, R&B, hip-hop, and beyond, treating each act with the care and insight that makes good marketing strategies great.
Her work ethic extends beyond her day job, too. Dating back to the 2010s, she’s used her compassion and expertise to support youth across New York, D.C., and Nashville, as well as organizations like VH1’s Save the Music Foundation, Blue Nile Rites of Passage, Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee, Hip Hop 4 Life, WEEN, Sports & Arts in Schools Foundation. For her efforts, she’s earned congressional recognition for her service to the community. While she believes in forging meaningful connections with artists, she’s just as passionate about helping other future leaders — dream-chasers of all types — cultivate their own hopes and aspirations.
