Bushwick Uncovered: Brunch, Street Art & Open Studios
On Sunday, September 20th, on the occasion of Bushwick Open studios, you’re invited to step into Bushwick’s boldest gallery—its streets!
Led by a local artist from Graff Tours, this immersive walking tour reveals the creativity, history and cultural movements behind one of the country’s most celebrated urban art destinations.
Across Bushwick’s warehouse-lined blocks, more than 25 murals create a spectacular open-air museum. We’ll encounter works by acclaimed names such as Nick Walker, BK Foxx, Calicho, Jeff Henriquez, Yok and Sheryo, while hearing the stories that bring each wall to life.
Our guide will offer an insider’s perspective on the techniques, symbolism and unwritten codes of this often-misunderstood art form. Learn how tagging, graffiti and street art differ, how large-scale pieces are created and why Bushwick’s visual landscape never stays the same. You may even spot our guide’s own work along the route.
Those joining the full experience will begin with brunch at Casa Ora, a beloved Venezuelan restaurant inspired by Chef Ivo Diaz’s heritage—a delicious opportunity to connect before setting out.
Following the walk, guests may continue to Bushwick Open Studios 2026, when hundreds of studios, galleries and performance spaces welcome visitors for exhibitions, workshops and special events. We’ll also have the option to visit the House of Yes block party for music, performances and plenty of neighborhood energy.
