About Event

🌿 About Event

You’re invited to gather with Chinese diaspora community to say goodbye to the Year of the Snake and welcome the Year of the Fire Horse through facilitated conversation, ritual, calligraphy, and shared tea and osmanthus wine. This is our final CommuniTEA Gathering: Taster of the Ancestral Homecoming Journey this year, offered before the Ancestral Homecoming Retreat in China (May 24–30).

The Snake invites reflection, shedding, and quiet transformation.
The Fire Horse carries momentum, courage, and bold life force.

Together, we will explore:

  • How Lunar New Year traditions have been passed down, lost, adapted, or longed for

  • What it feels like to be in a room with other Chinese diaspora folks and speak from lived experience

  • How we might consciously create rituals and traditions that actually feel true to who we are today

Hosted by Tian Tian & Xuel, co-creators of the Ancestral Homecoming Community, this gathering weaves tradition with lived experience.
