Local Hubs by WorkforClimate (December)
This month’s topic: Can AI Scale Within Planetary Boundaries? 🤖🌏
Across the world, employees are stepping up to lead meaningful climate action from inside their companies. It’s challenging work, but it’s powerful, and it’s accelerating.
Local Hubs by WorkforClimate is Sydney’s monthly gathering for people pushing for change in medium to large organisations. These aren’t networking events. They’re spaces for solidarity, real conversations, and collective power, where guest speakers share honest stories, hard-won lessons, and practical tactics to shift corporate systems.
Whether you’re new to this work or already deep in it, you’re welcome here.
Why come along? 🔹 Real stories of climate leadership from inside complex organisations 🔹 Connection with people facing similar barriers and opportunities 🔹 Practical ideas you can take back to your workplace immediately
AI promises speed, innovation and efficiency, but behind the scenes are rising emissions, exploding energy demand, and a resource footprint we rarely talk about. This session unpacks the trade-offs, opportunities, and risks of scaling AI in a climate-constrained world, and what it means for employees pushing for responsible action inside their companies.
