About Event

The BCI Workshop is a 4 hour masterclass delivered by Imperial Neurotech Society in collaboration with g.tec Medical Engineering

This session is designed to introduce participants to the field of Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs) and provide practical experience with EEG and its multitude of applications.

Through live demonstrations and guided experiments, participants will explore how BCIs are used in research, gaming, and even in clinical practice. 

This event is open to all backgrounds, where no prior experience is required. However, spaces are strictly limited to ensure an interactive and immersive experience.

12:20 – 12:30 | Welcome and registration

12:30 – 13:00 | Introducing BCI
Overview of BCI basics, EEG modalities, and real-world applications.

13:00 – 14:45 | EEG/VR: Hands-on Experiments
Practical group sessions exploring EEG, and interactive games

14:45 – 15:10 | Break and Refreshments
Light refreshments and networking opportunity.

15:10 – 16:00 | BCI in Neurorehabilitation
Demonstration of motor imagery for stroke rehabilitation and discussion of challenges in applying BCI to patient populations.

16:00 – 16:30 | Closing Remarks
