About Event

As we move toward a low-carbon future, connecting our electricity grids and trading more power across borders just makes sense. It can lower costs, reduce emissions, and make our energy systems more resilient.

But there’s a catch: North America’s power grids were built to operate locally, not together. Add today’s political and trade tensions, and collaboration becomes even harder.

In this talk, professor Pierre-Olivier Pineau will break down these challenges, zoom in on what this means for Quebec, and explore realistic ways forward. We will also hear from Daniel Doyon, Founder & CEO at SociVolta.

Expect big-picture insights, practical takeaways, and plenty to spark conversation. The presentations will be primarily in English, followed by a bilingual Q&A.

Thanks to our generous host, BoxOne Ventures, for providing the space for the event, as well as food & refreshments.

  • ‼️ Please note, our hosts are in office-mode until 5:30 pm. Early guests are invited to explore the beautiful St. Henri neighbourhood until doors open.
