​In this session, we’ll go on a factory tour with Kenneth Cassel, Founder of RMFG, to explore how his company is transforming the sheet metal industry using custom computer vision solutions.

​The sheet metal industry is a massive, $200B+ market in the U.S. that has long relied on traditional, labor-intensive procedures. RMFG is changing that by building a fully autonomous factory, using a vertically integrated approach to automate everything from quoting to the physical manufacturing process.

​In this session, Kenneth will share how RMFG developed a custom computer vision solution to solve manufacturing challenges, such as nesting new parts into remnant sheets. We’ll explore how they use network cameras and custom AI models to automatically identify existing holes and efficiently "nest" new parts, saving a significant amount of time and effort for their operators.
