About Event

About the Event

Take a behind the scenes tour of the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank, the largest hunger‑relief organization in the region, serving an average of 400,000 people each month and distributing more than 52 million pounds of food annually.

Guests will get a behind‑the‑scenes look at the Food Bank’s warehouse and operations, including innovative green initiatives such as its in‑house composting and recycling center and partnerships with local animal ranchers that help reduce waste. The tour highlights food recovery efforts through the Fresh Rescue program, food donation sorting processes, and warehouse infrastructure designed for energy efficiency. Attendees will also learn how our collaborations with farms, businesses and community organizations help us provide fresh, nutritious food to the community.

The Warehouse Tour is scheduled to take place after another scheduled event - Local Food, Local Solutions – a local food panel with community leaders. To register for the panel event, register here: https://luma.com/l0dezmkp
