Female Founders Breakfast: SCALE'HER and Nina Formánek Jaganjacová Real Talk and the Future of Czech Deep-Tech with Addsen
SCALE'HER x Czech Founders x ADDSEN: Deep-Tech Real Talk on Success & Failure
Building a deep-tech startup is not a sprint; it is an arduous expedition into the unknown. It requires rigorous science, immense patience, and a level of resilience that no textbook can teach. Within the SCALE'HER initiative, we believe that sharing real, unvarnished experiences - both the hard-won victories and the painful setbacks- is what truly drives our ecosystem forward.
We invite you to an informal gathering at Google Offices where we will dive deep into what it actually takes to lead a technology company in the Czech Republic. We’ll discuss how to de-risk ambitious projects and why "failure" in the deep-tech world is often just a necessary lesson on the path to the next breakthrough.
What to Expect:
Nina Formánek Jaganjacová, founder of Auris One on AI & Health Efficiency, will discuss the power of AI in transforming healthcare. Backed by a $1M investment from Ondřej Vlček (ex-Avast), Nina is solving the critical problem of medical bureaucracy, returning time to doctors through tangible AI automation.
Miroslav Konečný (Head of ADDSEN): Managing research and innovation funding since 2006, Miroslav is one of the most successful project managers in the CEE region and a specialized expert of the Platinn network at JIC. He will present how ADDSEN facilitates these high-level collaborations.
Lucia Davidová (Innovation Consultant, ADDSEN): An expert in Horizon Europe and a former National Contact Point, Lucia has a vast track record in regional innovation strategies and startup empowerment. She will guide you through the SCALE'HER Accelerator application process.
Welcome form Google and their Google Cloud program for Startups
About the SCALE´HER Program
During the event, we will introduce how SCALE'HER supports women leading companies with high technological maturity (TRL 6–9) in domains such as Health & Life Science, AI, Engineering, and Agritech. We focus on ventures where women hold a key leadership role and at least a 25% equity stake, helping them navigate the specific barriers of the deep-tech "valley of death".
Who Should Attend?
Female Founders and co-founders of technology-driven companies.
Scientists and researchers with the ambition to translate their results into the market.
Come to get inspired, share your "fails," and find new allies. Our community DNA is about radical openness - no corporate buzzwords, just pure startup drive.
About the Partners:
At ADDSEN, we have spent nearly two decades helping innovators across Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) navigate the complex world of EU research and innovation funding. Through projects like HER FUND and now SCALE'HER, we’ve seen first-hand what women-led deep-tech companies struggle with most—it’s rarely just the technology itself, but what comes after: securing the right capital, finding investors who understand long development cycles, and scaling beyond the home market.
We invite you to an honest conversation about these challenges and to discover a concrete opportunity: the SCALE'HER Accelerator, a Horizon Europe-funded program currently open for applications.
Why Should You Join? (Our USP)
Most accelerators target early-stage startups. SCALE'HER is different. It is purpose-built for women founders who already have a validated technology (TRL 6–9) and need support to take the next step: fundraising, market expansion, and strategic partnerships across Europe.
The program offers:
6-Month Acceleration: Intensive, hands-on workshops in small, focused groups of 20 founders.
Capital Strategy: Expert panels focused on navigating deep-tech investment cycles.
3-Month Mentoring: A follow-up phase providing 1:1 strategic guidance.
European Network: A consortium of 10 partners from 9 countries (including Sweden, Slovakia, Germany, and Portugal) with direct connections to EU investors and business ecosystems.
SCALE'HER has received funding from the European Union's Horizon Europe programme under grant agreement No 101193274.
