Hey all! It’s Diffusion Reasoning Model night tonight! Autoregressive models aren’t everything; there’s been an interesting cluster of research using diffusion techniques to solve language tasks: this could promise smaller, faster models with quick insights. Below are the papers we'll be talking about:
Scaling Masked Diffusion Models: paper and github with training code
DREAM 7B: very recent large diffusion model from Huawei; blog and github (inference and demos)
If folks want to dig into more background, this RADD paper is a common touchpoint for the above and is slightly more theoretical (github here incl training code
