Claydate: Marbling

Enter a whole new world of ceramics here at Drawing Room - marbling! Using TWO different colored clay bodies we will be learning the best ways to mix, swirl and layer the clays to create entirely unique and one of a kind marbled patterns on your ceramic pieces!
This beginner-friendly workshop will guide you through the fundamentals of handbuilding. You'll have the opportunity to personalize your pieces with colorful ceramic underglazes. After the workshop, we'll take care of the glazing and firing process, ensuring your ceramics are ready to use.

Ivy Weinglass is a ceramic artist currently teaching at Drawing Room. She’s inspired by the natural world around - from the smallest mushroom on the forest floor to the largest canyon in the American West - and inspired by historical clay techniques like Agateware, Nerikomi and Inlay pottery. Your ticket includes access to our Open Hours, to use our space for the day of the event, so you're welcome to come a bit early and linger later, if you'd like. If you've never been to Open Hours at Drawing Room, it includes unlimited loose-leaf tea, coffee, wifi, and access to our games/book library. We also offer our Art Library for an additional cost. Please show the front desk host this ticket to grant you entry.

IMPORTANT NOTES: All tickets are final sale. We are a shoes-off, socks-required space; please bring your own socks or we have some for purchase for $1. Our events are geared towards connection through creativity; for many, you will be sitting around shared tables. Unfortunately, during ticketed events, we are unable to accommodate any children/babies under 5 years of age. Dogs are also not permitted at events. Upon entering our space you are consenting to photography/videography that may be used for promotional purposes.
