​WORKSHOP: Produce Your Own Seaweed Yarn - Intro into wet spinning

In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to create fiber from seaweed using an open-source wet-spinning machine. No prior experience is required, just curiosity and creativity.

​Participants will:

​• Learn the basics of alginate-based fiber production

​• Mix their own alginate spinning solution

​• Spin fibers using syringes and the wet biofiber spinner

​• Experiment with colors and additives to customize their yarn

​Participants are welcome to bring their own colorants or filler materials. The finer the additive, the better the results!
