ShanHaiWoo·Singapore is a month-long popup builder village.
This September in Singapore, engineers, researchers, founders, and creators will gather to turn prototypes into real, usable applications—built on Ethereum, AI, and other frontier tech. Powered by new ideas. Grounded in the real world.
Innovation in AI and crypto is opening up a new design space. ShanHaiWoo exists to make that space real—with time, tools, and people who want to build what comes next.
You’ll come here to get unstuck, find your people, and ship something that matters.
Who’s Joining?
We’re selecting up to 200 participants, comprising:
Individual Builders: Developers, researchers, designers, operators, product/growth minds—anyone who builds or wants to.
Startups: Early-stage teams (valuation <$30M) building real-world applications across Ethereum, AI, or frontier tech—with ambition to shape how people coordinate, create, and interact.
You can join with a prototype or just an idea. What matters is your intent to build something real
What We’re Building
The infrastructure’s here. What we need now are things people actually use. We support projects exploring:
AI x Crypto: Developing decentralized AI infrastructure and applications, including decentralized AI marketplaces, privacy-preserving computation, natural language smart contract tools, autonomous agents, and full-stack interaction between AI reasoning and crypto execution.
Intelligent Devices & Autonomous Hardware: Exploring crypto-integrated smart hardware, privacy-preserving AI assistants, decentralized robotics, and next-gen devices that enhance human agency, local computation, and trustless coordination in physical environments.
Next-Generation DeFi & PayFi: Advancing financial protocols that bridge on-chain and off-chain economies, addressing long-tail credit markets, tokenized real-world assets, and interoperable payment systems.
Information Finance: Building systems where verified information becomes a primary asset, including on-chain reputation, innovative prediction markets, and information-driven coordination protocols.
Beyond DeFi: Real-World Applications & Community Protocols: Creating decentralized social platforms, permissionless collaboration tools, privacy-first infrastructures, and coordination mechanisms supporting digital-native communities and public goods ecosystems.
Infrastructure Innovation: Strengthening Ethereum’s foundational layers through modular rollups, shared sequencing, zk-proving systems, enhanced developer tooling (vibe coding), and interoperability solutions.

What it Feels Like?
You’ll land in Singapore this September, not just to work—but to find your rhythm, your collaborators, and your reason to build again.
Live & Build: You’ll stay where you choose (we’ll offer hotel discounts), but we’ll spend our days together—sharing workspaces, daily check-ins, and collaborative activities. From icebreakers to team-matching, everything is designed to help you connect, build, and grow alongside others.
Sprint: The month unfolds in four clear arcs—from alignment to iteration, from feedback to final demo. You’ll have room to go deep, with people around you doing the same.
Learn: You’ll hear from people who’ve been through it—founders, engineers, protocol designers—sharing what they wish they knew earlier.
Share: Much of what happens will be recorded and shared openly, so others can grow too. This isn’t just for us—it’s for the builders who can’t be here yet.
Grow: If you come alone, you won’t stay that way for long. We’ll help you meet the right collaborators, and point you toward whatever comes next—grants, community, maybe even capital.

Key Dates
Scholarship
ShanHaiWoo Scholarship Program is offering a limited number of scholarships designed to empower prominent students and youth to join a one-month fully funded popup builder village in Singapore—turning prototypes into real, usable applications.
Each scholarship is valued at approximately USD $2,500, and may include:
Round-trip airfare subsidy (up to USD $800 reimbursement) ;
Full accommodation in Singapore (30 days of shared hostel-style accommodation).
