This member-led showcase features two LightDAO founders building technology at the frontier of financial empowerment and ecological intelligence. The evening is designed not only to highlight their work, but to create space for meaningful member connection, shared inquiry, and spontaneous collaboration.
We will explore how technology can be leveraged to strengthen communities, restore balance, and build systems that are adaptive, intelligent, and regenerative.
Showcase #1: Reimagining Financial Empowerment with AI
Featuring Uzrad Lew, Founder & CEO of YOUNITY
With over 25 years of experience as a financial advisor, investment banker, and dealmaker, Uzrad brings deep expertise in navigating complex financial systems. At YOUNITY, he is building a FinTech platform centered around an AI “Master” designed to serve as a financial guardian for middle-class communities.
YOUNITY’s mission is to help restore financial self-sufficiency through intelligent guidance, community-centered tools, and technology that makes sophisticated financial strategy accessible and operational.
This session will explore how AI can be applied to strengthen financial literacy, resilience, and collective economic agency.
Showcase #2: Building the Intelligence Operating System for the Nature Economy
Featuring Bastiaan den Braber, Founder of ZAMBEZI
Each year, the global economy loses an estimated $10 trillion due to adverse events linked to ecological disruption. Yet most biodiversity data already exists — it is simply fragmented, slow, and non-operational.
ZAMBEZI is building the intelligence layer for the nature economy by fusing satellite data, bioacoustics, camera traps, and field inputs into a unified system that enables real-time preventative action.
From ecosystem protection and enforcement to credible measurement of nature-related risk and value, ZAMBEZI is developing infrastructure for a world where nature is understood, protected, and integrated into economic systems.
Their first deployment in Southern Africa will protect 84,000 acres in collaboration with conservation operators, scientists, and technology partners, operating under real-world constraints including limited connectivity and sensitive data environments.

Katrina DeAngelis is the LA Ecosystem Lead for Light Dao and a leadership and organizational systems architect working at the intersection of regenerative business and human development.
Her work focuses on supporting founders, investors, and organizations in evolving beyond extractive operating systems and into models that enable greater ownership, coherence, and long-term resilience. She advises leaders and teams on organizational design, leadership development, and ecosystem strategy.
Through Light Dao salons and gatherings, Katrina cultivates spaces for meaningful dialogue and relationship-building among founders and investors who are actively shaping the future of technology, business, and society.
