🎙️ Talk 1: Designing for Relationships: Inclusive UX for Dual-User Experiences

by Daniela Ocana

Many digital products aren’t designed for just one person, they’re designed for relationships. Whether it’s parents and children, patients and providers, or teachers and students, the experience depends on meeting the needs of multiple users with different goals.

Drawing from my experience as a UX Researcher at NaviRae, I’ll share how designing a dual-user experience challenged traditional design thinking and reinforced the importance of inclusive research. Rather than focusing on a single case study, this talk will explore practical UX principles for designing products that create meaningful experiences for interconnected users. Attendees will leave with actionable strategies for conducting more inclusive research, balancing competing user needs, and designing products that work for the people who use them together.

Daniela Ocana is a UX Researcher and Designer passionate about creating inclusive, human-centered digital experiences. Her work spans UX research, interaction design, and accessibility, with experience designing products that support meaningful interactions between children and parents. She enjoys translating research insights into thoughtful product decisions that make technology more intuitive, equitable, and impactful.
