Workshop: Vaults in Practice – How Financial Institutions Capture On-Chain Yield
This workshop provides a structured, case-study-driven deep dive into onchain vaults as the key primitive of DeFi and tokenized capital markets, led by Steakhouse Financial.
Starting from familiar concepts such as funds and ETFs, the session explains how vaults represent the next step in the evolution of asset management — combining programmable execution, non-custodial design, and real-time risk management. Participants will gain a practical understanding of how vaults work, how they differ from traditional investment vehicles, and why they are increasingly adopted by institutions.
The discussion then moves from fundamentals into live production environments, examining how vaults are deployed, operated, and integrated today. This includes institutional use cases such as platform integrations, as well as operational and compliance considerations when running vault strategies in regulated contexts.
From there, the workshop explores where vault management is expanding next, using concrete production case studies curated and operated by Steakhouse Financial:
RWA as collateral (Fasanara mF-ONE)
Fixed-term lending and yield structuring via Pendle
Leveraged vault strategies (Steakhouse High Yield Turbo)
By the end of the session, attendees will have a clear, example-driven understanding of how vaults are used in practice today, and how the frontier of vault management is shaping the next generation of institutional onchain products.
