Casey is an award-winning engineer who spent years inside Tesla as Project Manager for Autopilot and Infotainment, overseeing prototype hardware distribution. During Tesla's infamous production hell in 2018, he didn't just manage the teams building ad-hoc Model 3 assembly lines, he got on the line himself. Since then, he's founded three hardware companies. Voxel is the thesis distilled: if the grid is the problem, build without it.
The Thesis
"The best grid connection is no grid connection."
$3 trillion in data center projects are slated for construction by 2030. Half may never be built, not because of chips, capital, or compute but because there's no power waiting for them. Voxel captures, stores, and consumes solar energy entirely on-site, using a proprietary DC microgrid and a growing stockpile of second-life EV batteries. No utility agreements. No five-year queues. Their prototype is already live, running off-grid compute today.
