MultiModel Hackathon with Beta Fund
Beta Hacks is a monthly hackathon series designed for the most ambitious builders, engineers, and students to turn ideas into real products — fast.
Whether you’re exploring a new concept, validating a startup idea, or pushing the limits of emerging technologies, Beta Hacks provides the environment, resources, and community to help you ship.
Each month, participants will gather to collaborate in teams or build solo, working intensively to prototype and launch functional products within a focused timeframe. Throughout the event, founders and builders will have access to hands-on support from experienced mentors, investors, and operators across AI, product, and go-to-market.
At the end of each hackathon, teams will demo their projects to the open-floor. Projects will be evaluated based on innovation, execution, technical depth, and real-world potential.

🏆 Photon Prize
Photon track: build agents that have the best interface using Photon's Spectrum. Go to dashboard, sign up, use the promo code(HACKWITHPHOTON) and you can have a Pro subscription for free. Connect your agent to iMessage through the dashboard.
To qualify for the prize, your project must integrate with iMessage via Spectrum. We have our support channel on Discord for more guidance.
Best Photon Interfaces*2 - 1 month of Photon line, total worth of $1000
🏆 Trae Prize
Build your project using TRAE and showcase how you used it during development (e.g., screenshots or demos). Selected winners will receive TRAE's mystery prize.
🏆 Cumulus Labs:
Build your project using vision models from ionrouter.io and showcase the awesome project you've built. The selected winner will receive $500 in credits on IonRouter.
🏆 Butterbase.ai:
Build your project and deploy it on Butterbase, and showcase the project you've built. The selected winner will receive $500 in credits from Butterbase.
💰 Beta Fund Investment Opportunity
At least one team will be selected for $25,000 and Up to $50,000 investment. The other top teams will be considered for a $25,000 - $50,000 investment from Beta Fund, subject to due diligence and follow-up discussions.
Topics:
Track 1: AI Video Agents for Vertical Industries
Automating end-to-end video workflows (e.g., real estate walkthroughs, compliance training) by building domain-specific agents that understand context and generate tailored video outputs.Track 2: AI-Powered Content Automation
Building fully automated pipelines (input → generation → optimization → distribution) that turn ideas or data into ready-to-publish videos for marketing and e-commerce.Track 3: AI DevTools for Video
Developing infrastructure—SDKs, orchestration tools, or evaluation systems—that lowers the barrier for developers to integrate high-quality video generation into their own products.Track 4: Physical AI + Simulation
Leveraging video generation to simulate environments and generate training data, accelerating the development of physical AI systems like robotics or autonomous agents.

Co-Host:
MiroMind: MiroMind is an open-source, verification-centric deep research agent — built for people who treat hallucinations as a dealbreaker.
Photon: We bring AI Agents into chat apps like iMessage, RCS, WhatsApp, Telegram, and many more.
Trae: Trae is an AI Coding IDE developed by ByteDance, designed to help developers build faster and more efficiently with AI.
Butterbase: The backend for apps you build with AI. Code with your favorite AI assistant, tell it to use Butterbase, and it handles the rest — database, auth, file storage, serverless functions, API endpoints, and deployment. Nothing to configure. You keep shipping your product, and the backend forms itself.
Cumulus Labs: backed by Y Combinator, presents IonRouter.io, which hosts 30+ multimodal models—including vision, audio, & text—at best-in-class speed powered by their proprietary inference engine, Ion. All participants will receive $50 in credits to build their project for the hackathon. Find us for more credits!
Judging Criteria:
To be eligible for the Beta Fund Investment and cash prizes, projects will be evaluated on a 100-point scale across the following four pillars:
1. Track Integration & Synergy (1 to 10)
Multi-Track Execution: Projects that effectively bridge multiple tracks (e.g., using Track 4 simulation data to feed a Track 1 vertical video agent) will receive the highest scores.
Contextual Logic: How well the project addresses the specific technical challenges outlined in each selected track.
2. Ecosystem & Tooling Mastery (1 to 10)
Stack Depth: Successful integration of partner technologies:
Trae: Evidence of AI-native development.
Butterbase: Robustness of the backend and deployment.
Photon: Quality of the iMessage/chat interface via Spectrum.
Cumulus Labs: Performance and speed of vision/multimodal models via IonRouter.
MiroMind: Implementation of verification-centric research to eliminate hallucinations.
3. Technical Execution & Innovation (1 to 10)
Shipping Velocity: The delta between "idea" and a "functional prototype" within the 4-hour build window.
Technical Depth: Complexity of the orchestration, SDK usage, or model fine-tuning.
Innovation: Novelty of the approach—avoiding "wrapper" solutions in favor of unique architectures.
4. Real-World Potential & GTM (1 to 10)
Vertical Viability: Does the project solve a high-value problem in a specific industry (Real Estate, E-commerce, Robotics)?
Scalability: The feasibility of turning the prototype into a venture-scale startup.
Demo Quality: Clarity of the value proposition during the open-floor pitch.
