Nature of Code - Art Exhibition
A showcase of art projects by creative technologists who have participated in the Nature of Code meetup held at tiat weekly from December through March.
You're invited to witness and interact with artwork that evokes wonder, awe, curiosity and surprise. Your inner child is invited to come out and play!
Exhibition Themes
We've been going through the Nature of Code, Daniel Shiffman's guide to teaching computers how to simulate phenomena in the natural world.
Art projects relate to several themes that emerged throughout the meetup:
Nature — natural phenomena, including physics, biology, fractals and cellular automata
Ecosystems — ecological environments, communities of interacting organisms and food webs
Driving Forces — gravity, motion, tension, springs, wind, water, fire, smoke, growth and decay
Autonomous Agents — animal behaviors including fish or bird flocking and predator/prey relationships
Evolution — genetics, crossover, mutation, fitness, natural selection, survival, breeding, birth and death

Patt-Tom Henry McDonnell — Think Tank
