​Expert on strategy for the networked economy, competitive advantage in technology markets, and international business

​　Jon Metzler is a continuing lecturer at the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley, where he teaches on competitive advantage in technology markets, and on international business at the undergraduate and MBA levels. He is also associated faculty for the UC Berkeley for Center for Japanese Studies. He has received grant funding from the UC Berkeley Center for Japanese Studies, and from the UC Berkeley Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity. Metzler is also faculty mentor at Berkeley Skydeck, an accelerator for Berkeley-affiliated startups.

​While enrolled at Ritsumeikan University, founded a community-based “regional study abroad” initiative as a sole proprietor to support student challenges.

​After graduation, joined SoftBank Corp.. While working there, was seconded as part of an internal side job to STATION Ai Inc., where achieved the No.1 track record in attracting startup companies.

​Selected as a member of SoftBank Academia, and for the Shido Program organized by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. Also received the GoBear Award at UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, participating in numerous domestic and international development programs.

​Founded ikigAI Inc. in 2024, developing an AI-powered product focused on “self-understanding × behavioral support,” primarily targeting Generation Z.

​Sora Uetake (ClearProc)

​Founder of ClearProc
Alumni of J-StarX Berkeley Course (2025)

​Sora is the Founder of ClearProc, based in Tokyo and San Francisco, focused on procurement and sourcing for defense and drone supply chains.Previously a co-founder of EfficiNet X and Tobas Inc., Sora has worked across drones, multi-agent AI, and deep-tech innovation. With hands-on experience in product development and AI modeling, Sora specializes in turning advanced technologies into practical, real-world applications.

​Jon Metzler氏は、カリフォルニア大学バークレー校ハース・スクール・オブ・ビジネスにて、学部およびMBA課程で「テクノロジー市場における競争優位」と「国際ビジネス」を教える講師です。
また、UCバークレー日本研究センターの関連教員でもあります。同氏は、日本研究センターおよび長期サイバーセキュリティ研究センターから研究助成を受けており、バークレー関連スタートアップ向けアクセラレーター Berkeley SkyDeck ではファカルティ・メンターも務めています。

​立命館大学在学時代に個人事業主として、学生の挑戦を後押しする地域留学事業を立ち上げ。卒業後はソフトバンク株式会社に入社し、社内副業として出向したSTATION Ai株式会社では、スタートアップ企業の誘致の実績No.1を達成。ソフトバンクアカデミア選抜生、経済産業省「始動」プログラム選出、UC Berkeley Haas School of BusinessにてGoBear Award受賞など、国内外の育成事業にも多数参画。2024年にikigAI株式会社を創業し、AIを活用した「自己理解×行動支援」プロダクトを開発。Z世代を中心に展開する。

​植竹 空 (ClearProc)

​ClearProc 創業者

​植竹空氏は、東京およびサンフランシスコを拠点とするClearProcの創業者であり、防衛およびドローンのサプライチェーンにおける調達・ソーシングの改善に取り組んでいます。

​これまでにEfficiNet XおよびTobas Inc.の共同創業者を務め、ドローンやマルチエージェントAI、ディープテック領域でのイノベーションに従事してきました。プロダクト開発の実務経験を有し、先端技術を実用的な用途へと落とし込むことを強みとしています。
