Demo Nights #1
⚠️ Capacity Update
We’re now at full capacity and have a heavy waitlist.
If you can no longer attend, please cancel your spot so we can approve a waitlisted attendee. It genuinely helps keep the room full and fair.
UM Demo Nights is a monthly meet-up where builders showcase their projects, get constructive feedback, and hear from experienced builders.
🕕 Doors open strictly at 6:00pm. Please arrive from 6pm onwards.
Each chapter features:
• Invited external guest sharing something exceptional (Chapter 1 to feature Lewis Metcalf, Co-Founder, Amp Code and Peter Steinberger, Founder, Clawd).
• Demos from community members, ranging from scrappy MVPs to polished products and deep research prototypes.
• Good Fun, Good Food, Good People!
Here's what to expect:
18:00: arrive
18:30: welcome / pizzas
18:40: talk from Amp code
19:00: demos
20:00: yapping
20:30: everyone bugger off (or continue at the local pub)
We're looking for projects that are:
1. Live or meaningfully functional
2. Reveal insight through engineering, design or research
3. Push technical/design boundaries in creative ways
If you want to demo:
1. Keep demos concise and short. We care about substance over polish.
2. Submit a 2-minute video showing your working product/project. We’ll curate a small set from the submissions to keep the evening tight.
Sponsored by Recurse and Hosted by LocalGlobe, UM Demo Nights is a monthly meetup for builders who care about craft, depth and forward momentum.
Come to demo.
Come to learn.
Or come simply to see what thoughtful work looks like up close.
Important: Last day to submit Demo Registration: Jan 7. Hurry up!
See you on the Demo Night!
