About Event

Before we officially kick off The New Human Creative Hackathon on March 6, join us for a dedicated pre-session to explore project proposals, meet potential collaborators, and join a team if it feels right.

This session is designed to turn “what if” into “who with.”

Whether you’re looking for a team, pitching an idea, or simply exploring the intersection of ART+TECH, this is where your journey begins.

What is the Creative Hackthon?

The Creative Hackathon is a starting point, not an endpoint. It’s where ideas begin—but it doesn’t mean writing code. For us, a creative hackathon means expressing an idea in your own medium: images, video, sound, performance, sculpture, poetry, installations, or forms that don’t yet have a name. Code is welcome—but not expected.

What matters is the creative use of art and technology, and a connection to The New Human theme.

You can learn more about about the ART+TECH Festival program on the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page

Why join now

The best collaborations often start before the clock begins ticking. This is your chance to become visible, discover future collaborators, and understand how laboratory-born ideas can evolve into full-scale installations for Milano Art Week, Milano Design Week, San Francisco, and Shanghai as part of the ART+TECH Festival 2026.

Who should join

There’s no single way to join the ART+TECH Festival. Creativity doesn’t move in straight lines—and neither do people. You might build, imagine, organize, mentor, or simply explore. Every way of showing up is valid. Every role matters.

Existing Teams

Find that missing piece — a technical hacker, a performance artist, a systems thinker — to complete your vision.

Individual Hackers

Discover emerging projects and contribute your skills to a team aligned with your creative philosophy.

The Curious

Still deciding whether to participate? Come meet the community, see ideas taking shape, and understand how our 24-hour creative hackathon collaboration works.

The Schedule

1. Learn more about the ART+TECH Festival from the CODAME Team and how to partecipate at the Creative Hackathon

2. Watch short presentations from teams and individuals who have already shared their visions on the CODAME platform: https://www.codame.com/s/hacks

3. Connect with other team Members,a multidisciplinary community spanning Milan, San Francisco, and our wider remote global network. Find your Archetypal missing team member to build the teams for the Hackathon:

Alchemist — Builder

Storyworld Architect — Narrator

Systems Imagineer — Strategist

Embodied Explorer — Sensory guide

4. Creative Dialogue, begin conversations around how we imagine The New Human ten years from now (2036). We’ll explore questions such as:

  • When cognition is shared between humans and machines, where does thinking end — and where does authorship begin?

  • As bodies become augmented and programmable, what remains deeply personal, emotional, and human?

  • Living inside a digital nervous system, how do we design for care, agency, and connection — not just efficiency?

In the meantime, explore existing projects ideas and propose your own, or reach out directly to join an existing team.

See you February 18!
