AI for Sustainability Across Borders: A US-China Dialogue
The climate crisis doesn't respect borders — and neither should the solutions. This dialogue brings together AI leaders and practitioners from the US and China to tackle shared sustainability challenges: managing Scope 3 emissions and supply chain footprints, advancing upcycling and circular economy models, and optimizing energy and water consumption — while honestly reckoning with AI's own resource footprint. As the world's two largest economies and energy consumers, both nations hold an outsized responsibility to shape AI in service of a livable future. Attendees will leave with actionable insights, cross-border collaboration frameworks, and a network of peers committed to turning AI's potential into measurable planetary impact.
We will be joined by a very rich and diverse panel of practitioners and researchers in both US and China intersecting AI, data center, sustainability, community, and regeneration:
Shaolei Ren, Associate Professor. Electrical & Computer Eng Dept., UC Riverside
Jessica Grooopman, Innovation Advisor and Emerging Technology Analyst, Founder of the Regenerative Technology Project.
Maya Zuckerman, Circular Econony, Cleantech, Web3 & AI Startups, and Scaling Human Judgment through AI Infrastructure
Raman Chen, CEO of CarbonEase China
