AIRL: An Immersive Art Party - A one-night experiment in generative technology, immersion, and interactivity.

Presented by Machine Cinema, Creative Technology Center, and Farce Academy

On March 27th, Machine Cinema, the Creative Technology Center, and Farce Academy invite you into something different — a single night designed to show you where creativity is going, what it feels like to live inside it, and why we're just getting started. Join us on this genquest! Our amazing community of AI artists have assembled a menagerie of colors, sights, and sounds!

Four Acts. One night. Magic.

*Plus an immersive demo from OpenArt of their new Cinematic World Creation tool! All attendees get one month free access and credits!

6–10 PM:

Doors + Drinks

The Dome Gallery Step inside a full projection dome for a sensory screening of short films made by our generative AI filmmakers, made exclusively for the format. Works from talented artists from our community will be featured across the dome.

Your Voice, Our Instrument (XR Stage) Invites the audience to contribute voices, beats, and hymns to create a one-time shared musical experience with AI.
It is part playful workshop, part ethical conversation on creativity, presence, and what still matters most in a human-made moment.
At the end, the piece is deleted forever, leaving the real value in what was shared live in the room.

Dream Catcher (XR Stage) Louie Pecan and Nick Regalbuto invite you to bring your dreams up on stage — where they'll be visualized in real time across the walls, floor, and ceiling in a fully immersive, sound-reactive experience. With analysis from Dream Group Practitioner Melissa LaFara. Your subconscious, made visible.

Slopopolis Live (XR Stage) Enter the mystery.
Machine Cinema’s generative improv troupe transforms the immersive stage into a living story engine, inviting participants into world-building and character creation, in real time. Come ready to participate — because the plot needs you.

OpenArt: Worlds Demo (XR stage) OpenArt is bringing their brand-new Worlds tool to the stage for a live demo and it’s exactly as wild as it sounds. Watch stunning, fully realized environments come to life in real time, from sweeping alien landscapes to dreamy surreal vistas, all generated on the fly. Stick around after and try it yourself - every event attendee gets one month of free access and credits to go build their own world. No film crew required.

10–11 PM:

PLEXUSPLAY; Matt DiBiase combines electronic music, live instruments, immersive visuals, reactive LED wearables, and audience participation to create a festival dance experience unlike any other. With his custom electronic xylophone, PlexusPlay improvises melodies and triggers audio samples linked to his visuals and light suit, creating a show that’s both dazzling and impactful.

This is an early look at our vision for the future of entertainment — and we intend to do this again and again.
