Mickey McManus _ Senior Advisor, BCG
Join us Tuesday, March 31st for a talk from Mickey McManus on design science, synthetic biology, and what happens when the systems we build begin to act on their own.
Mickey is the former president, CEO, and chairman of MAYA Design — named for the design principle "Most Advanced, Yet Acceptable" — a consultancy and innovation lab spun out of Carnegie Mellon University. MAYA was acquired by Boston Consulting Group and became part of BCG X, their global design and build practice.
McManus is also co-author of Trillions: Thriving in the Emerging Information Ecology (Wiley, 2012), and currently serves as a senior advisor and executive leadership coach at BCG. His work spans pervasive computing, human-centered design, and the challenges of navigating complexity in interconnected systems. More recently, he has been exploring questions around design science, synthetic biology, and what happens when the systems we build begin to act on their own.
Come for the talk, stay for refreshments and conversation.
