About Event

Living Canvas Foundation presents "Presence in the Park" -- a workshop to help ground and regulate the nervous system in the middle of LA Climate week.

This in-person workshop is designed to soften the body, clear the mind, and restore inner balance through nervous system co-regulation, breathwork, gentle movement, and meditative art practices. Climate week is a very busy and intense week, and this is a chance to slow down and be present in your body.

Guided by artist and channel Rashika, this session offers a simple and powerful space to take a pause, slow down, release stress, and reconnect with your inner creative flow.

Together, we will connect to our mind, body, and spirit and allow for the release of heavy emotions and energy to make space for peace, clarity, gratitude, and connection. The purpose of this workshop will be to help us reconnect to the body. In times when the world can feel overwhelming, taking time to pause and reconnect with ourselves is essential.

No prior artistic experience is required! This is not about making “good art.” It’s about using creativity as a tool to process, regulate, and unwind.

All you need is a pen and paper or any materials you feel called to use! And a picnic blanket or yoga mat for comfort.

Flow of the session:

• Opening and grounding

• Light movement and breathwork to co-regulate and open the body up to the experience

• Light conversation and intention-setting for the art session

• Guided meditative art practice

• Reflections with the group

• Closing and time to socialize.

You will leave the session feeling softer in the body, clearer in the mind, and more connected to yourself.

We look forward to seeing you there!

MEET RASHIKA (INKSHIKA)
Rashika is an LA-based artist exploring themes of interconnectedness and our relationship with nature. With a background in environmental work, she uses art as a sacred tool to transform our inner worlds-- transmuting heavy emotions into something grouding, joyful, and beautiful. Her work is rooted in the belief that healing our inner world creates space for presence as we radically imagine and build a hopeful future. Through intricate linework, abstract paintings, and meditation workshops, she invites us to ground, reflect, and remember that changing the world starts from within.
