Communicating sustainability in tech in the age of AI
Building on our previous exploration of wicked problems in tech, this co-creation workshop zeroes in on the critical challenge of communicating sustainability effectively. In an era dominated by AI-powered tech with escalating carbon footprints, genuine sustainability efforts struggle for visibility. This workshop directly addresses how we, as a collective within the tech world, can effectively communicate sustainable practices to all stakeholders – from developers and designers to executives and end-users.
Workshop methodology: We'll use the iceberg model to dissect the current state of sustainability communication within tech, exposing why it is difficult for the tech world to take climate action seriously. We'll than create a systems map of the current reality of communicating sustainability. This will help us to identify leverage points to design fundamental interventions to communicate sustainability effectively.
