About Event

Climate change is not a distant or abstract threat. It is a lived reality that disproportionately impacts marginalized communities across the globe. Women, children, Indigenous peoples, low-income and migrant communities, and other historically excluded groups experience the harshest consequences of climate change, including food insecurity, displacement, health risks, loss of livelihoods, and limited access to resources for adaptation and recovery.

Despite bearing the greatest burden, these communities are often excluded from climate conversations, decision-making spaces, and solution-building processes. The Azadi Project seeks to challenge this imbalance by creating an inclusive, community-centered platform where lived experiences are not only heard but prioritized alongside technological, educational, and activist perspectives.

The event will feature a panel discussion combined with interactive speaking circles, designed to promote equity, empathy, and shared learning. The total duration is 90 minutes.

The purpose of the panel + speaking circles is to foster a holistic and justice-oriented dialogue on climate change by centering the voices of marginalized communities—particularly women and children—while also engaging technologists, activists, educators, and innovators working on climate solutions. Through this multi-perspective exchange, the panel aims to bridge the gap between lived realities and systemic responses to the climate crisis.
