​COPPE/UFRJ, Latin America’s largest engineering research center and home to one of Brazil’s most established tech incubators, and Made in Rio, Rio’s largest AI ecosystem and the team behind AI Salon Rio, are joining forces around one big ambition: to turn Rio into the AI capital of Latin America.

​Silicon Valley was built on a culture of hacking. We're bringing that hacker mindset to Rio.

​Our hackathon started long before these three days.

​From 530+ applicants, 120 advanced to the Ideathon. They formed 25 teams. From those, we selected 12 teams to move forward and build.

​After training, ideation, weeks of development, and one final 3-day sprint, it all comes down to Demo Day.
