Resume Readiness for Climate Careers
India’s climate and impact ecosystem is expanding rapidly alongside the country’s broader startup growth. According to recent analyses, investing in climate action in India could generate over 5 million climate-related jobs by 2030, with the renewable energy sector alone expected to create around 3 million jobs in the next decade (Deloitte India & Rainmatter Foundation, reported by The Economic Times). While climate startups offer higher risk than stable corporates or institutions, they also provide faster learning curves, early responsibility, and direct opportunities to create meaningful social and environmental impact.
This online session, held on Friday 13 February at 5:30PM IST, introduces young college students and early-career job seekers to building an authentic and competitive resume tailored specifically for impact-focused startups. Participants will understand how startup hiring differs from corporate recruitment, and how to position themselves clearly and confidently even without extensive professional experience.
The session will cover:
The pros and cons of working in the climate and impact startup ecosystem
Foundational principles of a clear, well-structured professional resume
Identifying and articulating a USP (unique selling proposition) without formal work experience
Writing a compelling and authentic cover letter
Ethical and efficient use of AI tools in resume and cover letter drafting
This session supports early-career talent in translating interest in climate and impact into credible, startup-ready career narratives aligned with the realities of the sector.
