Meet the Panel

Yiwen Li

Head of Venture & Alternative Investments, Bayview Development Group

Yiwen Li leads venture and alternative investment strategy at Bayview Development Group, a Silicon Valley–based single family office, affiliated with BDX Capital. She focuses on investments across emerging technology sectors including AI, data infrastructure, and next-generation financial platforms, supporting founders building transformative technologies for the global digital economy. Yiwen is an active investor in leading technology companies including Databricks, Anthropic, OpenAI, Magna and SpaceX.

Hiya R. Shah

Investor, Commerce Ventures

Hiya Shah is an investor at Commerce Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on innovations in financial services, payments, and commerce infrastructure. A graduate of Stanford University, she works with founders building platforms that are reshaping how financial services are delivered and accessed in a digital-first world.

Joyce Li, CFA

CEO, Averanda Partners

Investment leader with 20+ years managing institutional portfolios across public equities and alternatives, and a current investment committee member for a healthcare endowment. Advisor to boards and executives on AI governance and adoption in financial services. Founder of an AI-powered fintech platform, with deep experience bridging fiduciary investing and emerging technology strategy. MBA, Wharton | MS, Computer Science, UVA.

Marianne O, CFA

Co-Founder and Senior Portfolio Manager, Lumen Global Investments

Marianne works at Lumen Global Investments to identify and rank value across assets, regions, countries, sectors, industries, factors, styles, themes, ETFs, down to securities using the unique Lumen Global Value Compass and building the NextGen digital investment solution, Lumen R4A, for better global asset allocation and portfolio construction.

Marianne has 30 years of global investing experience. She is also a co-chair of 100 Women in Finance in NCal and sits on the global 100 Women in FinTech committee. She received her MBA from UC Berkeley and her MA in Economics from Cambridge University, UK.

Assel Seitova, CFA

Founder of Sisters, Female founders initiative

Assel Seitova is a finance and investment professional with over 20 years of experience across corporate finance, private equity, and M&A. She holds a Master’s degree in Finance and is a CFA charterholder, graduate of VC Lab . Assel is the founder of SISTERS, a community supporting female founders from Central Asia and beyond through local and online events, mentorship, and investor access.
