Guest Speaker: Shannon Brewster is a distinguished cybersecurity executive and board member with over two decades of experience leading high-impact security programs and global consulting organizations. Currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at YipitData, Shannon specializes in building resilient security cultures and driving strategic organizational growth through technical excellence and servant leadership.
Throughout his career, Shannon has held pivotal leadership roles, including CISO at LevelBlue (a divested AT&T asset) and Executive Director at AT&T Cybersecurity, where he managed a global team of 200 professionals and oversaw significant revenue for both government and commercial sectors. His expertise spans information security management, risk advisory, and complex regulatory compliance frameworks.
A dedicated advocate for the cybersecurity community, Shannon is a Member of the Board of Directors and Board Treasurer for ISC2, the world’s leading cybersecurity member association. He also shares his wealth of knowledge with the next generation of defenders as an Adjunct Professor at Wilmington University.
Shannon is a CISSP holder and an MBA holder, combining deep technical proficiency with business acumen to guide organizations through the ever-evolving threat landscape. He is honored to return to the ISC2 Los Angeles Chapter, where he previously served as President, to share his insights on the future of cyber leadership.
