Urblandia | MIA | SALONS — Jaya Kader, AIA, LEED AP
Urblandia SALON is a monthly series, in-person forum designed to foster strategic partnerships across the real estate ecosystem. Each salon convenes architects, developers, engineers, interior designers, planners, place makers, and city-builders for curated conversations on the current state of new urbanism and the future of the built environment—wherever real estate shapes people and planet. Select gatherings feature guest speakers and practitioners sharing real-world insights to spark discussion and collaboration.

Jaya Kader, AIA, LEED AP, is the founder and principal of KZ Architecture, a Miami-based design studio committed to excellence and sustainable practices since 2003. A recipient of numerous design awards, including AIA, her leadership produced Miami’s first LEED-certified home in 2010 and recognition as a winner of the World Bank and UN-Habitat’s Resilient Home Challenge in 2018.
Jaya’s lifelong advocacy for sustainability has expanded into Regen Design Lab (RDL), where she brings an entrepreneurial spirit to architecture, approaching each project as a catalyst for healing and transformation. Rather than focusing solely on the built form, RDL is rooted in the belief that design can help shift culture toward greater reverence for nature, deeper human connection, and regenerative ways of living. Jaya’s vision is to harness beauty, innovation, and collaboration across disciplines to spark systemic change—using architecture not just to create buildings, but to contribute to the urgent healing of our environment, communities, and collective future.
A graduate of the Harvard Graduate School of Design, Jaya served on its Alumni Council from 2016 to 2022 and co-launched DESIGN IMPACT in 2020, a global leadership series at the intersection of design, health, equity, and climate change. A mother of four and certified yoga teacher, she weaves feminine energy, ancient wisdom, and regenerative principles into all her work.
Urblandia salons are intentionally structured to support cross-disciplinary partnership, helping participants identify aligned collaborators, form project teams, and pursue opportunities that extend beyond geographic boundaries. Grounded in circular economy principles, human-centered design thinking, and nature-adaptive best practices, these gatherings prioritize long-term value creation through stronger relationships, smarter projects, and more resilient places.
