Our Fireside Chat Speakers
Jesper Jolma, President of Baseload Power US, a technology agnostic developer of geothermal power plants based in the US. Baseload Power US is part of Baseload Group, which is headquartered in Sweden, and is backed by for example, Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Google, Chevron, Baker Hughes and Gullspång Invest. He has an M.Sc from Luleå University of Technology, an EMBA from Harvard Business School and previously lived and studied in Dallas, Singapore, Stockholm and Shanghai.
John Kinney, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Avrio CleanFund Management a private credit alternative assets manager specializing in using C-PACE green bonds and senior mortgages together to finance high-performance commercial real estate, renewable energy, and infrastructure. Mr. Kinney is a pioneer of C-PACE and is the Founder and CEO of CleanFund, the first C-PACE company. Prior to CleanFund, Mr. Kinney was Managing Director at Imperial Capital, responsible for cleantech investment banking. He was CEO of Greenline Industries, a biodiesel manufacturer, with 20 biodiesel plants in 5 countries, from 2006 to early 2008 when the company was sold. Greenline was one of the top ten fastest growing clean energy companies in the country according to Inc. Magazine. Mr. Kinney was the founder and CEO of Club One, also recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the 100 fastest growing companies. Club One built 120 fitness clubs and employed 2,000 people before it was sold in 2005. He has been a founder of three other companies. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur John worked in venture capital for Bessemer Venture Partners and as a consultant at Bain and Company. Mr. Kinney earned Stanford University degrees in Human Biology and an MS in Industrial Engineering as well as an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Evan Mallah, Power Generation Chief of Staff at Fervo Energy. At Fervo, Evan focuses on alignment on major power plant decisions , optimization of supply chain and procurement planning by evaluating cost, schedule, and technical tradeoffs for major equipment and services, and support for engineering teams in comparing design alternatives to drive reliable, cost-effective project execution. Evan previously worked as a management consultant for Bain & Company where he specialized in Electric Utilities. He graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Economics.
