

Self-Love & Creativity: Journaling + Marbling Craft Night
Join @journalingclasses and @artgurl__ for an evening of community, creativity, and pen-to-paper magic! This workshop is all about self-love, self-care, and creative expression.
We’ll start with mindfulness journaling prompts to help you reflect, check in with yourself, and set intentions.
Then, we’ll bring those reflections to life by marbling mini journals and creating customized junk journal spreads—turning your thoughts into beautiful, one-of-a-kind visual art.
What to expect:

ABOUT YOUR HOSTS:
Emily Chertow, she/her, is the founder of @journalingclasses. She is a Brooklyn-based creative often spending time in parks with friends and coffee shops with her journal. Emily is passionate about advocating for mental health, human connection and the power of putting pen to paper. Emily has put pen to paper with over 30,000 people and is passionate about holding space that is inclusive, safe and welcoming to all!
Meagan Mahaffy (she/her) is an artist, educator, facilitator, and the founder of art gurl, a creative community at the intersection of art, wellness, imagination, and self-discovery. A leader in the emerging creativity/play as self-care space, her work emphasizes creativity and visual reflection as tools for self-reflection and wellness. After a decade of program development and interpretation work at the Smithsonian Institution, Museum of Modern Art, and the Whitney Museum of American Art, Meagan founded art gurl, where she teaches members how to reconnect with their innate creativity as a tool for healing.
