InnovateHer: Building the Future of Tech at University of Alberta
Your Research Has the Power to Shape the Future.
Behind every great tech startup is a foundation of rigorous research. This International Women’s Month, we are bringing together the University of Alberta’s female-identifying brightest minds for an exclusive catered lunch meant to build connection, inspiration, and growth.
Join us for InnovateHer: Building the Future of Tech at UofA, an event dedicated to female-identifying UofA graduate students, post-docs, and researchers. We’re stripping away the jargon to talk about what it’s really like to move from the laboratory to the marketplace as a female founder in the tech space.
Spotlight Speaker:
Callie Lissinna From building Alberta’s first satellite in a UofA lab to co-founding a venture-backed space-tech powerhouse, Callie is the definition of taking research to new heights. As a Co-Founder of Wyvern, she’s revolutionized how we see the Earth through hyperspectral imaging. Callie will be sharing how she navigated the "giant leap" from student founder to scaling a high-growth startup in the competitive aerospace industry.
