Forest and Friends, September 25th, 2025
The end of September, kids are back at school, leaves are turning, daily weather is just a bit more random than usual, welcome to fall in the PNW!
We’re coming up on the 2-year anniversary of Forest and Friends and we’re going to do something new this month – I’m calling out Aarden.ai to join us for a cold one next week at our monthly meet up! I ran into Jasper, Ben, and Stephen at the end of the CANOPY conference this week and there was excitement around the table about the H3 geospatial index clearly on display during my talk – Hexagons, what can’t they do?! While I could talk about preparing for a fundraise in climate tech in today’s environment; we’ll all probably enjoy a conversation around grounded insights, policy consequences, and financial pressures on land management decisions from some new folks around the table. This’ll be a great month to come on out and join us for the first time.
Feel free to join us for pizza and a pint as we talk about climate! We’ll be geeking out, enjoying the taplist, menu, and friendship while we talk forests, startups, GIS, policy, etc. I’ll be wearing a hardhat and cruising vest – feel free to walk right up and join our table – we’ll be trying to claim the patio out back weather permitting.
