Design × Fintech London
London is quietly becoming one of the most interesting places to design for money.
From fast-moving fintech giants to a growing wave of AI-native startups rethinking banking, investing, operations, and financial workflows, the city is full of teams designing products that shape how people interact with money every day.
But despite that energy, fintech can still feel oddly opaque from the outside.
A lot of designers are curious about the space, but aren’t sure how people actually get into it, what working in fintech really looks like day-to-day, or whether you even need a finance background at all.
Spoiler: you don’t. 🦊
So we’re making a night designed to demystify the industry a little. This would be a relaxed evening bringing together designers from fintech, product, AI, startups, and tech for open conversations around designing financial experiences, breaking into the industry, and understanding how money, systems, and human behavior intersect.
The goal isn’t to pretend everyone already understands fintech.
It’s the opposite.
We want to create space for honest conversations around questions like:
• How do designers actually break into fintech?
• What makes fintech design different from other industries?
• Do you need finance knowledge to work in the space?
• What’s it like designing for trust, money, risk, and regulation?
• Why are so many AI startups suddenly building financial products?
• And where is the industry heading next?
Whether you’re already deep in fintech or just fintech-curious, this is a space to ask questions, meet people, and better understand the ecosystem without the usual corporate fog machine.
