About Event

Join us for a conversation with Nicholaas Honig, JD, Executive Director of Highlander Health, an organization accelerating transformation across clinical research, care delivery, and investment.

We are entering an era of unprecedented biological breakthroughs — from cell and gene therapies to precision medicine. Yet the systems we use to generate evidence and bring new treatments to patients remain rooted in outdated models. What will it take to modernize evidence generation for a world defined by multimodal data, real-world evidence, and individualized care?

Co-founded by Amy Abernethy, MD, PhD (former Principal Deputy Commissioner of the FDA; former executive at Flatiron Health and Verily; Duke faculty) and Brad Hirsch, MD (Flatiron Health, Signal Path, Texas Oncology), Highlander Health aims to modernize the research and delivery system. Operating through Highlander Health Institute and Highlander Health Partners, the organization combines strategic investment with cross-sector convening, bringing together providers, government, academia, and industry to modernize evidence generation and simplify clinical trials.

📍Alway Building, Edwards Building, Room 166 🕒 Tuesday, March 3rd | 4:30–5:50 PM

About the Speaker: Nicholaas Honig, JD is the Executive Director of Highlander Health. Nick brings a rare perspective at the intersection of law, regulation, and innovation. He has also worked in Pfizer’s Chief Business Office and in the FDA’s Office of Chief Counsel. His career spans industry, regulation, and evidence strategy.
