Welcome to the first screening event from the AI Safety Cinema Society.
We will be proudly showing:
The AI Doc: Or How I Became an Apocaloptimist (1h 44m)
Directed by: Daniel Roher
Hoping to figure out what's happening with artificial intelligence, a father-to-be embarks on an eye-opening journey to learn more about the most powerful technology humanity has ever created -- and what's at stake if we get it wrong.
Seat at the Table (Short film) (16m)
Directed by: Suzy Shepherd
When Eva visits her Dad’s AI company, she meets Liam, the company’s flagship AI system, who she imagines as a polite, precociously-smart kid. But with the company’s co-founder claiming Liam 7 is too dangerous to release, Eva starts to wonder if her Dad can really control what he’s created.
The AI Safety Cinema Society is an event focused on bringing curious minds together, through the lens of cinema. We want to discuss and discover how AI might be changing the world, and how together, we might guide it in a way that benefits us all.
