About Event

โ€‹๐Ÿ“… Wednesday 20 May | ๐Ÿ•• 18:00 โ€“ 21:00 BST | ๐Ÿ“ Synthesia HQ, London ๐Ÿ• Food & drinks on us | ๐Ÿšจ Curated guest list with priority for senior software engineers

โ€‹There's a polished version of "how to use AI" that lives on LinkedIn. Then there's the version senior engineers actually use, built through trial and error and shared quietly with teammates but never posted about.

โ€‹This event is where that version gets shared openly.

โ€‹She Bytes Back are teaming up with Synthesia, one of the UK's most exciting AI-native product companies, to bring you an evening of real talk from senior women engineers who are using AI to change how they work.

โ€‹Our speakers on the night:

๐ŸŽค Hannah Craighead - Founding Engineer and employee #1 at Neurotype, ex-Google. She'll be breaking down how she ships features ridiculously fast using AI, and why the bottleneck was never code, it was clarity

๐ŸŽค Ornella Friggit-Konatรฉ - Staff Software Engineer at Bobsled and fractional CTO consultant who joined Disney Streaming the day before Disney+ launched (yes, really). She's talking about how to use AI without burning through tokens or the planet.

๐ŸŽค Catalina Oyaneder โ€” Senior Software Engineer on Synthesia's Enterprise team. She's exploring what happens when AI removes the old excuses of "too hard" and "too slow" and why the craft isn't gone, it just moved up a level.

โ€‹The agenda:

โ€‹6:00: Doors open for welcome drinks & food
6:45: Kick off with Amber's introduction, housekeeping, and agenda + intro from Synthesia
7:00 - 8:00: Talks on how senior engineers are using AI in their day to day
8:00-8:30: Networking games
8:30-9:00: Closing networking

โ€‹This one's for you if:

โ€‹- You're a software engineer who's been building and shipping for a while
- You're curious about how senior engineers are integrating AI into their workflows
- You want to compare notes on how you've been using AI in your own work
- You want to connect with other senior women engineers in the community
- You're ready for conversations that go deeper than "have you tried ChatGPT"

โ€‹And if you find yourself thinking "wait, I want to work here" during the evening, the Synthesia team will be around all night. Just saying ๐Ÿ‘€
