Rewiring fashion: scaling supply chains that keep Ancient Forests standing
Every year, billions of trees, many from the world’s Ancient and Endangered Forests, are cut down to fuel the fashion industry — from the paper packaging used for shipping to the viscose and rayon in our clothes. For nearly three decades, Canopy has been charting a different path. We’ll sit down with Executive Director Nicole Rycroft and leaders from global fashion brands, next-gen materials and climate investing to discuss how the industry is rebuilding its supply chain by repurposing waste instead of cutting down forests, and what it takes to rewire the economics of fashion at scale for a more resilient industry and a healthier planet.
Canopy is a grantee of The Audacious Project, TED’s collaborative funding platform to inspire and back global change.
