Welcome back to the 🌐 9Zero EV/AV Cluster Meetup 🌐 where builders, operators, and enthusiasts come together to explore what’s next in electric and autonomous mobility.
This session features RoboDock, a YC-backed startup building robotic charging infrastructure for fleet depots, designed to retrofit onto existing chargers and scale with the growing demands of autonomous and electric fleets. We'll be joined by RoboDock's co-founders and 9Zero members, Zinny and Celine, to explore robotic vehicle operations and what it takes to deploy autonomous charging at the depot level, from hardware decisions and infrastructure tradeoffs to fleet operator adoption and the road to full depot automation.
As cities and logistics networks electrify their fleets, the depot has become a critical bottleneck. Manual charging is slow, error-prone, and increasingly hard to staff. We'll examine how robotic systems can address these pain points while also tackling the harder questions around worker displacement, climate impact, and what a genuinely autonomous depot looks like in practice.
The conversation will connect autonomous charging to the broader EV and AV ecosystem, including the role of fleet operators, vehicle manufacturers, and grid infrastructure in enabling the next generation of electric mobility at scale.
