We invite companies from Japan and abroad to showcase their solutions, keeping the marketing pitch brief to prioritize live demos and technical features. Our goal is to help you cut through the noise, understand how these tools actually work, and have fun adopting new technology for your stack.

​TAI Explorations: Building Real-Time Voice Agents with Agora

​For our inaugural session, we are looking under the hood of Agora’s Voice AI infrastructure. The Agora APAC team will be joining us to break down their architecture and guide a live building session, keeping the company pitch brief to focus on the tech and the product.

​The Session:

• ​Architecture & Capabilities: A technical overview of Agora’s platform for low-latency, real-time conversational agents. We’ll look at how the different components handle natural interaction and state management.

• ​Tooling (Agora AI Studio): A look at their development environment for rapid prototyping and deployment of voice applications.

• ​Build & Implement: A hands-on workshop where you will work directly with the platform to build a functional voice agent, with implementation support and best practices provided directly by their dev team.

• ​Demo & Feedback: Showcase what you’ve built, troubleshoot with peers, and get direct feedback from the Agora team (plus some swag for the best builds).

​Who is this for? Engineers, PMs, and builders looking to add real-time voice capabilities to their stack or understand the current state of conversational AI infrastructure.

​Derek Zheng, DevRel & Partnerships @ Agora

​Derek Zheng is the Manager of the APAC Developer Evangelist Team at Agora, where he has been driving developer engagement since joining in 2019. With extensive experience in real-time communication and the voice AI industry, Derek has built strong connections with developer communities across Japan, Korea, Singapore, Vietnam, Taiwan, and beyond. He is passionate about fostering the Convo AI developer ecosystem and bringing together innovators and enthusiasts from around the world.

​Sean Zhu, Solution Architect @ Agora

​Sean is a Solution Architect at Agora, focusing on Conversational AI and on-premise real-time communication (RTC) solutions. He works closely with customers and internal teams to design and deliver scalable, production-ready architectures that power real-time voice and AI-driven experiences. With hands-on experience in integrating Conversational AI into real-world systems and deploying RTC solutions in on-prem environments, Sean helps teams navigate technical trade-offs and build reliable, secure communication platforms. He is passionate about translating complex requirements into practical system designs that work in production. Outside of work, Sean enjoys hiking and cycling, always looking for the next trail or ride to explore.
