In Art We Trust?
Rethinking Value Through Art, Community and Culture
We start the day with a fresh croissant and coffee in Gallery MINA, surrounded by 10 selected works by Nicolas Bets.
This morning session is an open exploration of a provocative idea:
What if culture itself could become a reserve asset?
This raises intriguing questions:
Could artworks become reserve assets?
Can communities collectively own and preserve cultural heritage?
Could a cultural currency help fund artists, exhibitions, and archives?
What would it take to build a €150M cultural reserve?
And perhaps most importantly: who decides what is worth preserving?
No fixed answers—this is a working session. The goal is to open up the conversation and invite input, critique, and imagination from everyone in the room.
