Earth Night Saint Petersburg 2026 — Modular Demo, Field Recording, & DJing Workshops
In celebration of Earth Day, an amalgamation of artists, musicians, and creatives are coming together to put the Sunshine City on the map (literally!) as part of the worldwide DJs for Climate Action's "Earth Night” initiative with a full week of programming. Suite E Studios, Sunshine City Disco, and Galactic Sound & Magic present community workshops, film, talks, and music experiences to uplift, inspire, and engage our beautiful city.
Community is the beating heart of both activism and a healthy, creatively empowered city. This night of knowledge-sharing adds depth to dancefloor connections and aims to plant seeds that enrich our nightlife for years to come.
“Workshop Night” features a full spectrum of electronic music workshops including a modular demo, production using field recording samples, and DJing. It is a free event, but donations, which will go towards DJs For Climate Action’s Earth Night and other environmental organizations, are encouraged. Bundle passes are also offered for access to the full week of programming.

"IN THE FIELD" RECORDING, SAMPLING, & PRODUCTION
Field recording in music production is the practice of capturing real-world sounds from your environment and turning them into musical elements. Facilitated by Full Sail graduate Santino Bontempo.
TAKING ROOT: THE ART OF DJING
Love playing music for your friends to dance to? Interested in sharing music with others in your own creative way? Hate sleeping? Get grounded in the roots and art of DJing with Best of the Bay awarded DJ Austen van der Bleek. Rat Galacticfollows with an interactive workshop aimed to inspire DJs of any level, “Risk taking and DJing Conceptually.”
WHAT IS EARTH NIGHT?
Earth Night is a fundraising initiative from DJs For Climate Action that harnesses the power of electronic music, its history and community, to celebrate the earth, and raise awareness of climate issues and solutions. The 9th annual global celebration will take place during the week of Earth Day.

EARTH NIGHT TIPS:
Bring your own cup or use one of our re-useable steel cups. No glass please!
Minimize your environmental impact by carpooling, using public transportation (~20 min walk from Grand Central & 22nd St N Sunrunner stops), or biking!
Engage with local organizations tabling throughout the event to keep the earth-loving momentum going!
