Contour Lines Workflow Workshop
In this workshop, Andrew break down the Contour Lines workflow, a simple TouchDesigner network that creates contour (level) lines similar to those seen on topographic maps.
Here’s how it works:
Contour line generation: A base TouchDesigner setup generates clean contour lines.
Noise overlay: By overlaying the lines with a noise TOP, we distort the contours and introduce organic variation.
Canny + Depth networks: Using Canny edge detection and Depth control, we process the noisy contours into winding paths that resemble branching structures or natural networks.
This is an introductory TouchDesigner workshop that can be built in under 5 minutes. Attendees are encouraged to download TouchDesigner beforehand and follow along by building the network themselves.
After wrapping up the project, Andrew will walk you through downloading NDI and connecting it to Daydream as a web-hosted StreamDiffusion tool.
